Our annual bonfire and firework display returns on Sunday, November 1 with a fun-packed family day out.
With tickets for our bonfire, you can enjoy a day out at Cannon Hall Farm – seeing the amazing animals, exploring our playgrounds and meeting the reptiles in our reptile house.
Our bonfire is perfect for families with young children – because in deference to our animals we use special, quieter fireworks set to music instead of big bangers and crackers.

Kids Disco from 2pm
The bonfire themed fun will kick off with a kids disco with party hosts from the CopyCat Party Company in our marquee, which runs from 2pm.
Animal-friendly Quiet Fireworks
In deference to our animals we use special, quieter fireworks set to music instead of big bangers and crackers. The day will be rounded off with the bonfire, which will be lit at 5pm, and the firework display at 6pm.
A Full Day at the Farm
All-day farm admission is included with every bonfire ticket. Make a day of it – see the amazing animals, explore our indoor and outdoor playgrounds, hop on a tractor ride and meet the reptiles in our reptile house and the creatures in our small mammal house.

One of the Best Farms in the UK
Enjoy the excitement of placing a bet on the sheep and ferret racing and see what goes on behind the scenes at the farm you've seen on the telly.
We're a Shire Horse Society Registered Centre so you'll get to hear all about our largest animals as well as seeing a wide variety of rare breeds of cows, pigs, donkeys, ponies and sheep plus more exotic species like llamas, alpacas and even porcupine.
One of our most popular attractions, the reptile house allows members of the public to hear all about our more exotic creatures. This house includes everything from snakes to iguanas – but by far one of our most fascinating exhibits is our colony of leaf-cutter ants.
Our incredible small mammal house is home to some of the most unique creatures in the UK. We've teamed up with zoos from across the country to help with some breeding programmes for unusual creatures such as the long-nosed potoroos or our cloud rats.
The Farmyard
Our barns are all undercover and give visitors a unique insight into modern farming. We carry on every day farming life – including tractor and machinery work – as visitors watch from purpose-built viewing platforms above the animals.
Our farmers are always happy to answer questions as they go about their daily duties. You won't need wellies at our farm – we are all paved and very buggy friendly.
Indoor Soft Play
Our spectacular indoor play area, The Hungry Llama, is one of the biggest and best in the region. It's a hive of exciting play opportunities with nine dramatic slides designed to entertain the most adventurous children, plus a role play village.
We serve great food in the 350 seat restaurant where adults can relax while the kids play.
Adventure Playgrounds
Our huge outdoor play areas are some of the best in the North of England. There's adventure everywhere with fantastic slides and towns for the kids to let off steam.
Incredible Eateries
There are three restaurants to choose from at Cannon Hall Farm – you can access the Lucky Pup (dog friendly) Cafe and The White Bull restaurant without needing a farm ticket.
Once you're inside the farm itself, The Hungry Llama soft play serves top quality food for parents to enjoy while the kids run off some steam.

Cannon Hall Farm is the official host farm for Channel 5 TV Show Springtime on the Farm, having been a part of the show for nine seasons.
We are regularly visited by our famous friends for filming opportunities and are series regulars on The Yorkshire Vet. Hundreds of thousands of people worldwide enjoy following our family farm on our social media channels – we livestream on our Facebook page twice a week and post videos every single day.

What Our Visitors Say
Fantastic day out for both little and big kids! There is so much to see and do, from the sheep racing and ferret racing to the educational talks throughout the day. It's a real working farm with beautiful, well-looked-after animals, including adorable piglets and magnificent Shire horses. The tractor ride was a great addition and a hit with everyone. There is also a lovely restaurant and shop on site, making it easy to spend the whole day there. Every member of staff we met was friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the farm and its animals. There is plenty to keep them going with 3/4 play areas and places to eat and have a picnic! A brilliant family day out that we would highly recommend!
Second time having visited after an eight year lapse. The farm is just bigger and better than last time, and even then it was good. In addition to great exposure to the traditional farm animals, there is a well stocked farm shop, restaurants and eateries and ice cream galore (great for a sunny day like when we visited). There is also the mammals house and reptile house. Sheep racing and tractor rides. A number of educational information posts dotted throughout that aid understanding of how important British farming is. Ample car parking with an option to pay online when booking your tickets. Animal feed is plenty for £1 per portion. Great for families as it was for ours but great for any demographic also.
Really nice day out for Father’s Day. 2 year old enjoyed the walkable grounds and seeing the various animals. Seeing the piglets at different ages was great. Sheep race was fun! The restaurant was great and portions were huge! Soft play has multiple sections for different ages of children. Would come again to try other activities as daughter gets older.
Lovely day to visit weekdays are lower footfall we got around all the animals. There’s talks, ferret and sheep racing during the week all earlier in the day for a May weekday visit. Nice cafe stop and ice cream. There’s multiple places to eat or get a snack. Visited the shop lots of great local produce. The last picture of the sheep racing is from summer separate visit. We live close and it’s a regular place we visit throughout the year.
