Why Visit?
Come and visit our family-owned farm in the rolling pennine foothills and spend the day admiring the scenery, the animals and letting the kids run off some steam in our amazing play areas.
Our farm admission price covers all-day entry plus full access to the soft play and reptile house.
One of the Best Farms in the UK
Enjoy the excitement of placing a bet on the sheep and ferret racing and see what goes on behind the scenes at the farm you've seen on the telly.
We're a Shire Horse Society Registered Centre so you'll get to hear all about our largest animals as well as seeing a wide variety of rare breeds of cows, pigs, donkeys, ponies and sheep plus more exotic species like llamas, alpacas and even porcupine.
One of our most popular attractions, the reptile house allows members of the public to hear all about our more exotic creatures. This house includes everything from snakes to iguanas – but by far one of our most fascinating exhibits is our colony of leaf-cutter ants.
Our incredible small mammal house is home to some of the most unique creatures in the UK. We've teamed up with zoos from across the country to help with some breeding programmes for unusual creatures such as the long-nosed potoroos or our cloud rats.
The Farmyard
Our barns are all undercover and give visitors a unique insight into modern farming. We carry on every day farming life – including tractor and machinery work – as visitors watch from purpose-built viewing platforms above the animals.
Our farmers are always happy to answer questions as they go about their daily duties. You won't need wellies at our farm – we are all paved and very buggy friendly.
Woolly Jumpers Bouncing Pillows
Jump into summer on our brand new bouncing pillow play area! There are two pillows for plenty of fun, with one reserved just for the little lambs to make it safer for them.
Woolly Jumpers is all included with your farm admission, so the kids can bounce to their heart's content as part of a fun family day out.
Indoor Soft Play
Our spectacular indoor play area, The Hungry Llama, is one of the biggest and best in the region. It's a hive of exciting play opportunities with nine dramatic slides designed to entertain the most adventurous children, plus a role play village.
We serve great food in the 350 seat restaurant where adults can relax while the kids play.
Adventure Playgrounds
Our huge outdoor play areas are some of the best in the North of England. There's adventure everywhere with fantastic slides and towns for the kids to let off steam.
Incredible Eateries
There are three restaurants to choose from at Cannon Hall Farm – you can access the Lucky Pup (dog friendly) Cafe and The White Bull restaurant without needing a farm ticket.
Once you're inside the farm itself, The Hungry Llama soft play serves top quality food for parents to enjoy while the kids run off some steam.

Frequently Asked Questions
Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers!
What is a passport account?
You can sign up for a Cannon Hall Farm passport account here for free. It's our account that lets you manage and amend all your bookings with Cannon Hall Farm and access perks such as free ticket promotions and rainy day guarantees.
When does the offer run?
The offer is valid for bookings made for visits between 25 June and 1 September 2026. The return visits (if your booking qualifies) must be taken within 30 days of your tickets to the farm being redeemed.
Why do I need a passport account to qualify?
Although the KIDS50 half price code can be used as a guest on check out, this would not trigger the free return visit. You need to have had a passport account in place at the time of booking to receive this. This is because we need to connect your initial booking to know how many free children's tickets you've qualified for.
How does the kids' free return visit work?
When you visit the farm during the offer period, the paid-for kids on your booking get a free return visit to the farm (events are excluded). After your visit we'll email you details on how to claim this, valid for 30 days after your initial visit.
Are there any exemptions?
Yes, anyone who books in with a Maxx card would not qualify as you can only choose one offer at a time. Guest checkout users would not qualify for the free return visit.
Do I need to buy an adult ticket?
Yes. For the discount to apply, a full price adult ticket must be purchased.
Which tickets and sessions does the discount apply to?
The discount applies to full price children’s tickets only, on sessions before 3.15pm, and is valid until 1 September 2026. The offer is not valid on special events.
Can I use it with other offers?
No. The discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount code, pass or deal, and the offer can be withdrawn at any time.
Can the discount be applied to a booking I’ve already made?
No, the discount cannot be applied retrospectively.
What Our Visitors Say
Second time having visited after an eight year lapse. The farm is just bigger and better than last time, and even then it was good. In addition to great exposure to the traditional farm animals, there is a well stocked farm shop, restaurants and eateries and ice cream galore (great for a sunny day like when we visited). There is also the mammals house and reptile house. Sheep racing and tractor rides. A number of educational information posts dotted throughout that aid understanding of how important British farming is. Ample car parking with an option to pay online when booking your tickets. Animal feed is plenty for £1 per portion. Great for families as it was for ours but great for any demographic also.
My first visit to Cannon Hall Farm and we had such a lovely day! We visited as a group of seven to celebrate my niece's 3rd birthday. The children, teenager and adults all loved seeing all the animals and visiting in May meant we got to see lots of the new farm babies! My teenage daughter adores highland cows and has wanted to see them in real life for a long time so was absolutely thrilled to see so many! There were plenty of play areas for the children to enjoy and they particularly enjoyed the tunnels. We took a picnic with us and there are plenty of places to sit and eat along with several options to buy food. The farm shop on site is fabulous with a huge range of products. I'm sure we'll be visiting again at some point.
Lovely day to visit weekdays are lower footfall we got around all the animals. There’s talks, ferret and sheep racing during the week all earlier in the day for a May weekday visit. Nice cafe stop and ice cream. There’s multiple places to eat or get a snack. Visited the shop lots of great local produce. The last picture of the sheep racing is from summer separate visit. We live close and it’s a regular place we visit throughout the year.
Great Farm to visit for the whole family. You can spend the whole morning and afternoon there as there are so many animals to see and playgrounds to play in. Places to buy food from and picnic areas are available. If the weather it's good, then your day will be unforgettable 👌
